 YOU
ARE THE ONE
You are the one but you know it not,
I see you each day and the care you show others,
yes all the children of the neighborhood love you.
I saw you sneak out of the house yesterday,
even though you were safe from all other eyes.
You are the one.
I searched for you all my life and I didn't even know it,
or maybe my memory returned after beholding you so,
I watch the graciousness of your lips, when you are speaking,
I even wondered what you look like when you are sleeping.
I smell the fragrance of your hair the minute I step outside.
You are the one.
Every piece of clothing, always, looks good on you,
and nothing you can say would ever turn my heart away,
Though you have floated by me often without a second look,
and I have found it most pleasing to just watch as you pass,
seeing many things of you, as your character has grown.
You are the one.
Fear would want to rob from me the chance,
To see you with a closeness that advance romance,
And even though my heart flutters as the wings of many birds,
the evils of ten thousands of worlds, won't cease my words.
I wont rest for work or fun, till you know that,
You are the one.
