WHAT CAN I LIKEN LIFE
To what can I compare life?
Is it like being in the womb of a woman,
A place to grow that is quite common,
or equally become your way to the tomb,
Whatever happens it ends too soon.
~♥~
It can be a way to gain earnest delight,
or a tunnel through which we loose our sight,
A time of humility, in which we hone our skills,
or a means to maliciously cause great ills.
~♥~
To what can I compare life?
An overflowing river that makes the ground fertile,
A place of slow movements like that of a turtle,
A moment in time in which I can make a spot,
or a journey that ties my soul into knots?
~♥~
A carrier for indignities by those seeking thrills,
A conduit of thoughts that bring my body to chills,;
or to emote like the beasts without ere a regret,
No thought or conscious to mount a great threat?
~♥~
To what can I compare life?
Life is being conscious of one's self,
equally aware that there is someone else.
It's autonomy and responsibility of action,
These very things gives life it's attraction.
~♥~
Only then can we understand our varied potentials,
showing our earned and unearned credentials.
Loving, bringing joy, as character reigns supreme,
life everlasting, will always be it's theme.
