AS I WAITED
As I waited at the gates of heaven,
The light it shone so bright,
I thought I saw an angel,
Wings outstretched, and in full flight.

The Cherubim were there to greet me,
To hold my shaking hand,
To guide me from this earthly place,
Up to the promised land
Alas, I was only dreaming,
And the light that I could see,
Was a wonderful new day,
That the Lord had sent to me.
